A ship’s brass English compass from a decommissioned lifeboat. This is made by Cassens and Plath, an English company. An important nautical navigational instrument used when underway. We had it mounted onto a Y-frame in order for it to continue to gimble. In working order. Circa 1970’s. Originally these would have sat in a box and stored on the boat. We had it polished and mounted. Makes a great gift for the sailor or boater in your life.
