Chinese Porcelain Dragon Meiping

Chinese porcelain dragon meiping, a plum shape vase with a white glazed exterior, interior and inset base. The body of the vase is decorated with five, finely carved and detailed, five-clawed dragons cavorting amid a dense ground of stylized clouds, Taoist flames and ocean waves, all in bas-relief. The neck is decorated with a band of Ru Yi lappets just below the lip. The neck flange has a band of fleur-de-lys alternating with small round bosses. The shoulder of the vase has a band of larger, Ru Yi lappets decorated with small bosses and floral medallions. The foot is decorated with a band of large, vertical, ornate, Ru Yi lappets. A six character, Qianlong reign mark in Zhuanshu script is finely carved to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era.
