This fabulous little chest of drawers is very early in date, originating in the mid 17th century, around 1680 which is the era of Charles II. Considering its age it is in relative excellent condition, retaining its original feet, with replacement brasswear in the original style of the piece.
It also retains an excellent colour and surface and although there are a few minor old blemishes which have now blended into the surface visually it is excellent and there is nothing aesthetically displeasing to worry about in the slightest.
In terms of size it is very small and therefore great for a whole host of places around the home. It would work exceptionally as a bedside chest of drawers, but in addition it would also be great in a living room or study with a lamp etc perched on top of it, or even in the hallway as a just a useful, functioning piece of furniture.
As with all the items we offer for sale it has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our well trained and highly skilled, specialist antique furniture restorers and it has received a natural wax polish to ensure it is presented for sale in the absolute best possible condition meaning that it ready for immediate placement within the home.
