Vintage Design
Valuable items for their shape and also in combination with the precious Gobelin fabric used to cover them, original of the period and decorated with classic floral design of the 1940s-1950s.
Gobelin is a fabric made with a Jacquard loom, which imitates hand-made tapestries and takes its name from an old French factory: the Gobelins Manufactory (pronounced ‘goblin’) which produced splendid tapestries in Paris from the 17th Century.
They can find more locations in your home due to their soft and sinous style, yet very elegant.
The chairs are raised from the ground by four legs in beech wood, finished with brass feet caps, and seats are very solid and comfortable.
Both chairs are to be considered in very good period condition as shown in the images, with slight signs of wear due to age and delicate use, and will be sold with polished brass feet and with the surfaces of the wooden legs restored with shellac polish.
