Vintage Design
This rare armchair was produced in Italy in the late 1950s. The design is attributed to Gio Ponti. The geometric shape and the angled placement of the seat make this a distinct, modern design. The tapered legs are in solid beech wood. The armrests are upholstered in a green/grey (verdigris) chenille fabric by Lelièvre Paris. The backrest and seat are upholstered in the same fabric in a white shade.
