This is a stunning pair of faux bamboo commodes done in a natural looking faux bamboo with polished black lacquer tops and sides. The construction quality of Burton-Ching items are ALWAYS top notch and no expense is spared to make them look “just right”. One has a hole for a tv to place on top but these can be used for anything. They date to the 2000s era and are 39.75 wide x 30 tall x 20 deep. They have minor flaws such as scratches and scuffs but are in good condition aside from the minor flaws.

19th Century Italian Charles X Bleached Walnut Chest of Drawers

Charles X chest of drawers hand-made in Italy using walnut. The commode has been bleached, giving it a very modern look because of its straight simple lines and light color highlighted by the natural grain of the wood. The chest of drawers presents three inset drawers, a thin one on top and two lager, deeper ones on the bottom. All the drawers show beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The two lager drawers are decorated with a thin and subtle inlaid line of poplar veneer. The sides are made of flat panels nailed to the case with square nails.
The top of the chest of drawers is a stunning single board with beautiful grain. The edges were carved in a reverse bullnose creating the only curves present on the piece together with the modified bun feet.
This is a very beautiful piece, with great proportions and lines. It is simple, yet not plain at all because of the beautiful grain and the little details used to decorate it. This chest of drawers will fit well next to both antiques as well as modern and contemporary furniture, and will provide plenty of usable storage space.
