This apothecary with large drawers was made circa 1950s in Germany. It features 8 drawers with sheet metal cup handles. It remains in a good restored condition. The interior dimensions of the drawers are: D x W x H: 28 x 50 x 23 cm.

Beautiful sideboard from the USA.

Midcentury sideboard-cabinet, catalogue No. U-450, designed by Jiri Jiroutek. It´is made of beechwood, veneer, plywood and laminate. In excellent condition, fully refurbished. Dark stained surface. The cabinet comes from the famous Universal series (U-450), which was designed in 1958 for the Czechoslovak national company Interiér Praha by the Czech designer Jirí Jiroutek. The success of the Czech pavilion at the Brussels Ex-‘58 was followed by the rise of the modernist style (called “Brussels style” in Czechoslovakia). One of the most prominent representatives of the Brussels style are the cabinets and chests of drawers from the U-450 series with typical pastel colors and sloping legs. In Czechoslovakia in the 1960s and 1970s, you could meet them in almost every modern household. The cabinets were unique not only in design, but also in their technological innovation, which enabled their serial production and availability at a time when there was a huge demand for furniture in Czechoslovakia. These cabinets were one of the first to be made from already prepared parts, from which they were then assembled. The same technological process allowed the cheaper of furniture and the Expansion of companies such as Ikea. This cabinet is original from the 1960s, we completely renovated it to meet current standards.

A beautifully made and very stylish vintage desk in Teak, this was made in Denmark and it dates from the 1960s. The proportions on this are lovely, it is also nicely finished on the back if you wanted to use it as a free standing piece. This comes with a locking key, and we have just had it completely stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.

Stunning Karelian birch sideboard made by SMF Bodafors. Beautiful color and burr birch veneers used on this piece. 3 doors to the front providing a double door and a single door cupboard, each with quarter matched veneers. Interior with 2 adjustable shelves. Below the cupboard are 3 drawers that open on the key, all decorated with applied carvings. Standing on short cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaves. Minor surface marks.
