A stunning and rare 19th Century English Chinese Chippendale pagoda cabinets. This highly stylized hand carved mahogany cabinets features, glass shelving, pagoda gabled roofs, classic Chippendale fret work, and branch vined glazing bars in a trellis pattern that adorn the doors.

Inside backs have been newly upholstered in a creation Metaphorés neutral ecru cotton sateen which can easily be removed or changed without altering the structure or integrity of the original mahogany backing.

A handsome French 19th century Charles X period Rosewood and Maple bookcase/vitrine. The vitrine is raised on a mottled plinth below three square bottom glass doors displaying X designs with central rosettes and original lock surrounded by Greek key Maple inlays. Above the square doors are three secret drawers which can only open via a hidden interior lever. Above are three individual display cases showcasing tall glass panes and two adjustable interior shelves. The top crown showcases a dentil decorated band above an inlaid Maple wood Greek key design with a scrolled foliate branch. Wonderfully and uniquely proportioned as it is wide but narrow in depth.

This stunning neo-classic vitrine/display cabinet is not only handsome, but also versatile and useful. The upper section is shelves with a glass door, with a single drawer below. In the living room it’s perfect to hold your collection of favorite objects; in the dining room for your china & crystal; in the study for your books; and in the bedroom for your collection of sweaters or prized purses. In France, curtains in beautiful fabrics were often put on the inside of the door to make the interior totally utilitarian for storage – something that is still possible.
This piece is hand-made of maple with beautiful European bird’s eye maple veneer. Etruscan designs are stenciled on the crown, drawer, and door frame. The door has its original glass. The drawer has a lid which slides over the entire drawer to keep out dust. The three shelves are adjustable, and more could be added. The crown lifts off for ease of moving, and the shelves and drawer are also removable. No matter how often you move or re-decorate, this piece will always find a home!-

A unique piece from a short period of time in French furniture making, this early nineteenth century French Charles X period palisander vitrine or bookcase features fine lines of lemon wood inlay outlining the face and each side of the cabinet. Intricately scrolled leaves in lemon wood detail the crown and two lower drawers. The sides are additionally detailed with lemon wood in a concentric geometric diamond pattern. Its glass door opens to allow access to its interior with four adjustable shelves. Includes two keys with functioning locks. c. 1824-1830.
