We are delighted to offer for sale this very nice and collectable antique field used Jones Brothers & Co of Wolverhampton LTD Steel Unform case “The Owomehi” British Patent 202004

This chest is heavily and Campaign used, it is totally original, the patina is to die for. These chests were made for and used on West African campaigns, they are painted with the half moon which was a symbol of good luck

It is a lovely size, we could fit bun feet to raise it a little and it would be a brilliant coffee table

This is a genuine campaign used piece not Army Surplus, it has tonnes of character and looks the part, they make great coffee table conversation pieces.

English Mid-19th Century Military Munitions Box with Royal Mottos, Coat of Arms

English military munitions box of thick full cowhide leather over cork with painted royal coat of arms and mottos on the top: ” Honi Soi (qui) Mal y Pense” and “Dieu et Mon Droit” surrounded by the rampant lion and unicorn. The leather straps have brass locking ends, wooden handles on each end, wheels were added at a later date, hinges are old replacements. No key. The red color has been restored at some point. The interior is lined with its original heavy fabric. Repairs have been made throughout its history, as this was not just a show piece, it was used for munitions storage. Mid-19th century.
