Late 19th century British Army officer’s painted pine campaign chest containing original steel & brass campaign bed. Stand is modern as is bed canvas.
Note letter inside from British National Army Museum which was able to identify the trunk’s original owner: Capt. G. Lambert, 3rd Battalion Devon Regiment, who became a captain in 1898.
