Set of bed and bedside tables from the main suite of the liner Giulio Cesare launched in 1920 in Palermo with the first trip from Genoa in 1922.
Completely fitted out by the Ducrot firm of Palermo.
Excellent cabinetry, the prevailing wood is rosewood, walnut bands, in the headboard and inserted a high relief of generous thickness with a cherub in finely carved and lacquered ivory.

Vintage Design

This beautiful living room set was designed by Rudolf Wolf for Elsrijk in the 1950’s. Rudolf Wolf designed several series of furniture for Elsrijk in the 1950’s where he avoided a lot of welding by using ingenious solutions and still managed to give these furniture a sturdy construction. This is a very rare and hard to find set of 1 chair, a two-seater sofa and a coffee table. We have completely reupholstered the 2-seater sofa and chair in a high quality green Randers fabric from De Ploeg and also added new foam. The metal frames are in a good condition with some signs of age and use. The table has a light grey formica top and is in a very good condition with minor signs of age and use. Measurements (cm): sofa: H: 75, W 128, D 73 , SH: 40 / chair: H 76, W 80, D 73, SH 410/ table: W 120, D 49.5, H 45.5.

Where to begin! This suite is absolute eye candy from every angle, it has the original leather hide, the leather is in fully restored condition throughout, the colour had slightly faded and turned quite solid, it has been hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, the end result is this lovely and bespoke Bordeaux colour.

In terms of the condition this suite really does look better than new, it is the only one in the entire world with this colour

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning vintage restored Chesterfield cigar brown leather Library suite

A very rare find, I never come across original sets of three pieces from this era. This is an original hand dyed suite which means it was upholstered with fully aniline cattle hide leather which was then hand dyed this one of a kind Chestnut Brown colour, you can always tell original hand dyed pieces because you see the natural colour of the hide in the folds of leather.

This is the finest set of this type you will find anywhere, its true library set. The frames are fully coil sprung in the tradition of the Victorian pieces

Condition wise we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, it has normal age and use related patina marks here and there
