This handsome George III style wing back tufted leather settee is the definition of old fashioned luxury. Featuring a warm mustard leather tufting with out-scrolled wings & arms all resting on square Marlboro front legs & splayed back legs that are joined by cross stretchers and brass nailhead trim all around. Rich patina to the leather. This has a high back for additional support and comfort.

English Thomas Lloyd Cigar Leather Wingback Chesterfield Settee

Gorgeous English wingback chesterfield settee sofa featuring a cigar leather tufted upholstery hand-crafted in England by Thomas Lloyd from a hard frame covered with fine Italian full top grain leather hides. Beautifully aged and worn with a soft patina and fade. The tufted leather wings and arms are bordered with decorative brass tack nail heads. The two seat sofa has fitted, loose seat cushions and is very comfortable. Shortened seat height of 14 inches with legs removed, but can easily be replaced in existing mounts. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an aged patina full of character and charm.

19thC Antique Hamptons & Sons Chesterfield Sofa In Hand Dyed Whiskey Leather

As a furniture maker and LAPADA dealer, I always have a large stock of Chesterfield sofas and chairs ranging from early 19thC through to present day including a selection of our own Signature Collection.

This particular piece by Hamptons & Sons of Pall Mall who, in the latter part of the 19thC were furniture makers to the Royal household.

We actually hand dyed this piece at the recent LAPADA exhibition on Berkley Square in Mayfair as an insight into our work.

It is a very handsome piece standing on a very smart reeded tapered leg and has been restored using horse tail filling and fully hand tacked (no staples).

This really is a particularly elegant piece with a beautiful, slightly splayed arm.

English Charles II Spindle-Back 17th Century Oak Settle, ca. 1650

A very rare and unique English Oak bench, of triple chair-back form with three sections of turned spindles, topped by a wavy carved cresting, downswept open arms on short turned front supports, the beautifully figured plank seat supported by turned legs and two turned front spindles, united by the front seat rail and stretcher. A delightful example for the Oak Collector.
