Modular set of three items designed by Arch. Mojmir Pozar for UP Zavody in 1960s. nightstand, chest of drawers and table could be assembled in different ways as you can see on photos. The writing or dressing table has two legs and is designed to be combined with other item, chest of drawers or nightstand. That creates plenty of variations. Wooden parts are in a gloss finish with age patina – minor losses and scratches. Structurally stable. One drawer has traces of pink color inside. All black top glass is new. A beautiful Swedish chest of drawers with three drawers. The front corners have richly decorated elements. The legs are tapered downwards. The chest of drawers is in a subtle beige color, and the top is black. It dates from around 1870.

This convenient Restoration made the transition from the First Empire style and romantic Louis Philippe style.

The change is in the structure with the appearance of discrete curves. The corners and edges of the plates are rounded.

The three wide drawers are framed by amounts molded rods and slightly carved with foliage and flowers underline the frame of the facade. Inputs locks carved in bronze. The wooden rectangular tray molded with the molding is painted black based on a belt projection concealing a fourth tray.

By 1820, the mechanization of workshops allows production of cheaper furniture for small and medium bourgeoisie. Furniture manufacturers major cities produce large quantities convenient to the end of the nineteenth century. This production is facilitated by the simple structure of this furniture with smooth surfaces easy to press.
