Very rare dining tables designed by Börje Johanson. Produced by Johanson Design in Sweden.

Two rare teak console tables.

A table design in high-quality materials and workmanship. Elegant and restrained use of form. These two tables have a special function. They can be used as separate, semi-circular console table or as a connected, round dining table. Striking the intricate connection details that play with texture and color of the wood. The tables are connected by two screws. The simple table legs can be unscrewed.

Table frame and legs are painted brown, the top is lacquered.
There is wear and light scratches on the top, a dent on the top.

Restoration of an industrial table with a 4,5 cm thick solid maple top, treated and sanded. Subsequently finished with casting resin for a thickness of 5 mm, which gives extreme brightness and hardness to the wooden top, enhancing the naturalness and grain. The top is therefore extremely smooth and warm to the touch.

The ends have been bordered with a soft iron angle, 4 mm thick, brushed in polished burnished oxidation and then blocked with a suitable finish, so as to maintain the burnishing obtained unaltered over time. This finish prevents the iron from collecting or releasing any traces of dirt and odor.

The legs of the table, with a section of 10 cm, are made of a single block with a thickness of 0.5 mm, with angular cut and continuous wire welding … also brushed in polished burnished oxidation and then blocked with a suitable finish, so as to maintain unchanged over time. This finish prevents the iron from collecting or releasing any trace of dirt and odor.

The bolts and nuts, as well as all iron parts, have undergone the same treatment and are perfectly integrated with the table.

This extraordinary set of tables probably originates from Italy and is guaranteed unique. The purpose for which it was originally made, we do not know. Also on the age one can only speculate. The longer they are viewed, the more one sees this as a reflection of the ”Memphis” era. But the careful and elaborate design suggests that the table set was probably made earlier. All elements of the set showed strong signs of wear and discoloration to some extent. A professional restorer has carefully removed the old paint, sanded the wood, re-stained it and then painted it. Therefore, the set is in a perfect condition, without signs of wear. The set has been completely made of solid wood and consists of a table and four stools. Table diameter 114cm.

1950’s Original French T55 Tolix Rectangular Cafe – Kitchen – Dining Table – Chrome Leg ( Model 1). Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic cafe chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934 and sadly now copied worldwide. Tolix used their metalworking skill to also produce exquisitely designed but practical cafe/dining table to partner their chairs. This Tolix model features folded sheet steel legs with a very subtly patterned laminate top. The table is in exceptional original condition throughout. Knee Clearance Heights: 69cm
