We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely vintage circa 1950’s Chinese Chippendale style refectory dining table with smoked glass top

A very nicely made and large refectory dining table. This piece came with a very rare set of Chinese Chippendale Cockpen dining chairs which are listed under my other items, for those who are fine English furniture collectors they are a staple of every collection

This table is well made, it has a light timer frame and a large smoked glass top which looks sophisticated in any setting. What I love above glass table tops is if you have amazing dining chairs you can see them through the table

Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished the timber, the glass has been deep cleaned, there will be age and use patina marks here and there as you would expect

It has lovely bamboo details all over. This item has been imported from china by its previous owner.

We have lightly restored this by giving it a hand clean, hand waxed and hand polished.

Fabulous and hard to find pair of vintage bamboo dining table bases of hexagonal form, in the Brighton Pavilion or Chinese Chippendale style. This handcrafted pair of table bases feature a caned top and a burnt bamboo finish with a lovely aged patina. The sides are decorated with an open fretwork design on each panel. Two bases will accommodate a rectangular glass tabletop or may be used separately with a round glass tabletop to serve as a breakfast table and/or a center table. The 30″ high fretwork tables can also serve as side tables.
