17th century carved two piece chest of drawers from Scotland made from walnut and rosewood. The top is banded and has a beveled edge surrounding a four board top. The sides are hand paneled, and the front of the case contains two small drawers over three larger drawers. The small top drawers have hand carved thistle decorations, which are very unusual. All of the drawer fronts are hand carved with floral decoration and are flanked by hand carved panels with full florals. The lower three drawers are cushion paneled as well. The knobs are hand carved flowers and are spectacular! Raised on simple feet.
