We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning Black Forrest Oak hand carved hall chair with bobbin turned legs and a large Hawk in the back, circa early 19th century One of the best looking chairs I have ever seen, the carving was obviously done by a master craftsman, its deep in the solid timber which has a grain and patina to die for The chair has the remnants of a paper label on the base, what is readable is… In terms of condition, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it, the timber has a lovely aged patina, there no real damage or issues to speak of Dimensions: Height 99.75 cm Width 41.5 cm Depth 47 cm.
