19th Century Italian Hand Carved Walnut Daybed with Puttis

An exceptionally rare Circa 1840-1860 hand carved walnut Italian daybed with cherub putti decoration and chesterfield tufting What a find! This has to be the most decorative bed I have ever seen! It is carved all over in the highly collectable mid nineteenth century Italian style, there’s not one part of this bed which is not well thought out, it’s pure art furniture It is in the original condition, I would say it’s for decoration only in its present condition, one or two of the legs have been repaired, I’m not sure to what standard the work has been done, there are some losses to the timber here and there, under the mattress there is no sub frame, it should have some slats I think.
