Contemporary Design
Kazuko Okamoto designed Cloud stool by imagining white clouds floating in a blue sky. They represented this feeling of floating by supporting the seat with only two legs. As the chair is only supported by two legs, the leg space is free. In addition, Okamoto represented sunlight breaking through the openings in the clouds by the legs extending downwards. These stools the impression of lots of clouds floating in the sky. Okamoto wanted to create a stool to fit any space and make the user feel happy.
