A good Charles II silver trefid spoon by john King and hallmarked in London in 1683 with a plain rat tail. It has an oval bowl with a thick gauge silver handle with pin engraved initials G & L to the reverse of the terminal.
The hallmarks have some light rubbing commensurate with age and are still legible – please look at the images.
The spoon measures Height: 20 cm Width: 4.5 cm and weighs 53 grams.
