Antique Quashkai Shiraz Rug 5’5” x 7’1”

Not southwest Persian, but likely a SE Persian tribal creation with excellent indigo blues, both royal and cerulean. Three stepped octagon medallions are fringed in green or ivory and filled in with red and blue. Rosettes, short vines and profile palmettes run across the field. Main narrow border of slanted, serrated leaves and Y-shaped vestigial flowers. Well woven rustic scatter in good condition.
