Chinese Chippendale Silver Tea Table with Fretwork in Carved Mahogany

We are delighted to offer this stunning restored antique fretwork carved Chinese Chippendale style silver tray table In a modern sense this would be classed as a coffee table, but the traditional use was for silver items to be laid out for display, they then went to tea tables where again you would have luxury services laid out The timber is all solid mahogany, the fretwork carving is nicely executed This has been fully restored by my French polisher, it still has some period patina marks here and there which were left in as they are right for the piece and age For those that know what this is, it’s considered the height of class style and sophistication Dimensions Height:- 51.5cm Width:- 108.5cm Depth:- 57.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, . Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
