A unique piece from a short period of time in French furniture making, this early nineteenth century French Charles X period palisander vitrine or bookcase features fine lines of lemon wood inlay outlining the face and each side of the cabinet. Intricately scrolled leaves in lemon wood detail the crown and two lower drawers. The sides are additionally detailed with lemon wood in a concentric geometric diamond pattern. Its glass door opens to allow access to its interior with four adjustable shelves. Includes two keys with functioning locks. c. 1824-1830.
