English oak 17th century open base long dresser, with a three-board top surrounded by a molded edge, above a frieze, containing three drawers, the drawer fronts with applied geometric moldings and decorated with bright stained fruitwood fretwork applications. The turned front legs and straight back legs joined at the ends by upper-edge molded stretchers.
The narrow and slim, long proportions with the open base, together with the colorful fretwork applications give this piece a timeless look with just a touch of whimsy.
