English period Charles II pair of oak carved side chairs, referred to as back stools in this era. These 17th century chairs have wonderful hand-turned spindles and chisel carved back with sunflower, lunettes and rope and circle motifs. These were made in the Lancashire or North Cheshire area of England, circa 1685.
