English Charles II Oak and partly stained 17th Century Commode
Made ca. 1670 likely in Dorset, the thin two-board top over four drawers, the drawer fronts accentuated by red and black stain enhancing the design, the top drawer also adorned with corbels and decorative stained applications. The decorative applications are repeated to the top of each two-paneled sides.
Left in ‘as found’ apparently mostly original condition with minor touch up and small losses to the applied decorative elements.
