This excellent chest of drawers was manufactured in the 1st half of the 19th century, in France. It is a piece of outstanding craftsmanship, the traces of the old tools can be seen, for example, on the surface on the top. tThe front and sides are desigend in motion, with a fluted marble slab.
The substructure is out of oak – which is typical for french craftmanship, the chest is richly decorated with bronze fittings, on the drawers, on the sides and also on the furniture bases. The masterly crafted veneer consits mostly of rosewood, mahogany, a micro-mosaic in maple, olive, ebony and other precious woods. The chest has two drawers.
