An impressive French 19th century Charles X period flamed mahogany, maple wood, and white Carrara marble console. The freestanding console is raised by an elegant bottom tier with charming intricately inlaid maple wood rosettes flanked by lovely foliate designs. At each side are stunning lightly curved legs with handsome richly carved lion paw feet, striking palmettes, and most decorative scrolled foliate designs. At the center is the original mirrored backplate flanked by mottled side panels with additional wonderfully executed foliate maple wood inlays. The straight apron displays an exceptional array of finely detailed scrolled foliate inlaid designs with beautiful palmettes at each side. Above is the original white Carrara marble top.
