An elegant and most decorative pair of French 19th century Charles X st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu cassolette urns. Each beautiful cassolette is raised by an acanthus leaf designed socle above a patinated Bronze block support. Above the Ormolu socle is a smaller scale patinated Bronze socle that supports the body of the cassolette above held by an Ormolu frame. The supportive foliate designed Ormolu frame holds the urn shaped patinated Bronze body that is decorated by two winged cherub Ormolu busts on either side with scrolling foliate handles containing a central rosette. The body tapers at the neck and is accented with a reeded Ormolu band wrapped in a laurel vine. The neck tapers back out and is decorated by an Ormolu dentil patterned rim with a centrally placed scrolling foliate bud that holds the place for a candle.
