Antique Charles II Carved Oak Coffer / Chest / Trunk, circa 1670.
This beautiful hand-carved oak coffer/chest/trunk is like a little bit of history. The chest features a three-panel front, intricately carved with flowers, leaves and adornments, with a stunning patina. The left-hand side has a hand-forged iron handle. The top of the chest is fastened with beautiful iron strap hinges, opening to a large open interior with small original candle boxes on either side. Raised on bracket feet.
Full of antique character, this would be perfect at the end of a bed, down a hallway, or as a low sofa table.
