Vintage Design
Extremely rare chair Thonet Nr. 404. Probably designed for the wine bar of the Municipal House in Prague in 1910 by a minor modification of a chair designed by Marcel Kammerer possibly for the Austrian Exhibition in London in 1905 (chairs from the villa of Viktor Thonet in Austria). According to company reports and preserved information, most of these chairs were made for the municipal house in Prague, outside the municipal house only a very small number of them were produced. The chairs for the Municipal House had string seat and a backrest, none preserved is known. Historical photographs and other documents are available. Restored in the past.
