Snaffles WW I Naval print “Gentlemen Unafraid”.
A coloured Snaffles lithograph entitled “Gentlemen Unafraid” showing sailors in the bow of a boat “Bedelia BK273” aiming their machine gun at a submarine. In the bottom right hand margin is a remarque depicting a couple of trawlers fishing, in the top left a remarque depicting the captain shouting into a megaphone from the bridge. This Charles “Snaffles” Johnson Payne (1884 1967) picture is in good original condition and framed in original black wooden frame with the Snaffles blindstamp (a bridle bit) and signature.
