A very fine panel of ‘King Charles II and his favourite Lady’ in the gardens of a Church / Castle. The bright colours of the raised stumpwork embroidery, and fine detail of the faces, bring to life this antique textile picture. The back of the picture frame is inscribed with a faded reference to the title of the work. circa 1680
