A superb quality early 20th century mahogany cabinet in the Chinese Chippendale manor by Edwards & Roberts, the top of the cabinet has a broken arch pediment with dentil mouldings and pierced fret supports, with the main section profusely decorated with blind fret on the carcass and doors, each of these being thirteen pane astragal glazed doors with original glass, opening to reveal four adjustable shelves, the base section having two mahogany lined drawers with original brass handles, one of the drawers stamped “Edwards & Roberts”, supported on four square blind fret legs ending with block feet, the legs united by a concave shape shelf with a pierced gallery. circa 1900.
