Is this a Kashan in the NW Persian village manner, or something else entirely? Although now in only fair condition, the light blue is still extraordinary. The cerulean field shows stars and a central; chain of geometric flowers Main chocolate border in the Azerbaijani bracketed rosette and serrated, tilted leaf style. A definitive non-Kashan origin lies in the strip style border. No true Kashan employs this technique. Plain medium blue outer stripe. Medium/fine weave.
