\n An original Cecil Alden Sporting Print – Large, with exceptional presentation, and original artist signature in charcoal. <\/p>\n

Image is bright and details and subtle colors are still crisp. The fox is in full break, with hounds in pursuit under the watchful eye of riders in red coats (pinks!) close behind. <\/p>\n

Frame in black lacquer and burnish gilt – very traditional and very fine. <\/p>\n

Matting features exceptional hand drawn lines in gilt and ink.<\/p>\n

35″ wide by 24″ tall. <\/p>\n

And, the artist signature \/ autograph is crisp and bright in lower right. <\/p>\n

Certificate on the reverse (pictured) reads- Arthur Ackerman & Son, Establishment for the sale of Sporting Prints, Drawings, and Paintings – 50 E. 57th Street, New York. <\/p>\n

In keeping with Aesop’s fable, Fox and Crow’s Motto is “Beware of False Flattery!” So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item…my husband has an hereditary weakness for sporting prints, especially given our fortunate location here in Piedmont Virginia. He saw this and was instantly willing to mortgage the cottage in the country! WE have seen a fair number of Alden’s over the years, but never one as complete as this one – the image, the condition, the presentation, and the authenticity – with the signature. This will instantly become the centerpiece of wherever you hang it.
