A most interesting and novel set of spirit cups fashioned to replicate British campaign field service cookware, likely intended for use in toasting ceremonies, their undersides all bearing impressed marks for The Army & Navy Co-operative Society.
\nEach measuring 4.5” long x 2” diameter x 1.25” high (to the rim).
\nAll are in very good and serviceable condition with a only a few very minor areas of rubbing on the exterior surface.
\nThe Army & Navy Co-operative Society was a London department store established in 1871 by and for British military officers, which by the end of the 19th century had expanded to the British held colonies of Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi and Karachi.<\/span><\/p>\n
