Antique English carved oak refectory dining table, circa 1680.
\nA fine and large oak refectory table from the reign of King Charles II and the restoration of the monarcht after the English Civial War. The planked top sits above a carved skirt the table base with four ring-turned legs and joined on four sides with a substantial stretcher. The table is of joined & pegged construction, the table has a rich mellow patina built up over almost 350 years. The table is robust and stable and will comfortably seat 8-10 people, condition is very good.
