A very fine and unusually long Charles X sideboard with beautifully carved volutes decorated with acanthus leaves flanking each of two cabinet doors, below three concave drawers. Back-splash is embellished with carved crown of laurel leaves. Solid African mahogany top, back-splash and drawer fascias with mahogany also used as the secondary wood, a practice employed at the time with only the finest workmanship. French-polished mahogany, France, circa 1825-1830.<\/p>\n

Dimensions: 92″ long x 26 3\/4″ deep x 38 1\/2″ high (+ 24″ backsplash height)<\/p>\n
