It&#8217;s made from hardwood and has a sublime parquetry inlay, the leather top is original, as is the brass gallery rail and the marble display shelf. The leather bound books are of course faux, they have hidden catches inside which release the doors, if you don&#8217;t know where these catches are you can&#8217;t open them The piece has been fully restored to include a complete wash back, its then had any timber issues resolved and a full French polish, the leather has also been polished.
